About The Club

Shows1From its home in Upper Bucks County, the Penn Ridge Kennel Club has been active since 1954 in promoting purebred dogs and supporting participation in AKC Competitive events through its annual dog shows.

For over 60 years the Penn Ridge Kennel Club has generously donated proceeds from its annual events to help dogs and their people, with beneficiaries through the years including local shelters, emergency disaster relief, health research, community K9 police units, Take the Lead which benefits terminally and chronically ill people in the sport, and the AKC George Ward Scholarship Fund to help educate the youth who are involved in purebred dog activities.

1991 bis 002The main activities of the Penn Ridge Kennel Club are its two All Breed  AKC Conformation Shows, held the second weekend in August each year.

Through the years our shows had been held at various outdoor venues around upper Bucks County.  In recent years the PRKC has moved to a wonderful indoor air-conditioned facility, where together with the Harrisburg Kennel Club the Keystone Cluster has fast become one of the most popular summer dog show weekends in the country.

On Friday and Saturday Rally and Obedience competitions are held in conjunction with our All Breed Conformation show.
